Alex Swanson is Vice President of the Institutional Division for Horan Capital Management.

Alex began his career in the financial services industry with JP Morgan in 1988 as part of a Management training program.  Alex was responsible for personally servicing individual clients within the banks private client group on a daily basis. 

In 1990, Alex accepted a position with Ernst & Young in Baltimore and was responsible for growing the firm's consulting business as a Senior Associate of the North East Region of the US.  In 1992 Alex worked with Coopers & Lybrand, LLP in their New York City offices, and was the first person hired in New York to implement a national campaign to develop a new consulting practice across the country.  Prior to joining Horan Capital Management, Alex worked over 3 years with Fisher Investments, a high net worth Money Manager based out of Woodside California as a Vice President of their New York/Northeast Region. 

Alex grew up in Smithtown, New York and earned his BA in Financial Management from The Catholic University of America in Washington DC.  He continued his post graduate education at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore and New York University.  Alex also attended an International Business School Program at Lansdowne College in London during his undergraduate studies in 1986.

Alex and his wife Nancy, reside on Long Island New York and have 3 boys; Alex, Nicholas and Jack.
